Project Overview
- Project: DSHS Clinic, Vancouver, WA
- Customer: Government (Washington State DSHS)
- Property type: Commercial
- Service: Build and finish
- Timeline: 2024 to 2025
Scope of Electrical Work
Government and healthcare buildings leave little room for rework, so the electrical has to be planned, coordinated and finished cleanly. Our crew worked alongside the other trades through each phase of the build:
- Electrical rough-in through walls, ceilings and open timber-beam spaces
- Device, switch and low-voltage wiring at offices, service windows and reception areas
- Recessed lighting in offices and support spaces
- Dome pendant fixtures throughout corridors, double-height spaces and open common areas
- Finish work that left the electrical clean, labeled and ready for inspection
Lighting in a Timber-and-Daylight Building
The clinic uses exposed glulam beams, wood ceilings, skylights and tall windows. That design looks great, but it limits where conduit and fixtures can go. We routed and mounted lighting so the structure and natural light stay the focus, with pendants spaced evenly along corridors and open areas.
Working on Government Projects
Public-sector jobs run on schedules, documentation and inspections. Heritage Electric works to the plans and specifications provided, coordinates with the general contractor, and keeps the jobsite organized so the next trade can keep moving.
